Baton Rouge, LA – Ochsner Urgent Care locations will work through the upcoming holiday weekend in service to the Capital Area.
“Our team is prepared to stay open all weekend, including at two locations for 12 hours each on Labor Day,” said Aldo Russo, M.D., Regional Medical Director, Ochsner Baton Rouge. “Using urgent care, versus the ER, is more efficient and cost effective for everyone.”

“We’re also open 24/7 with our virtual urgent care option,” added Dr. Russo. “It’s currently only $10 for a virtual urgent care visit through our website or using the Anywhere Care app.” Lake Charles-area residents displaced from Hurricane Laura are currently eligible for free Anywhere Care visits using the code LAURARELIEF.
Ochsner Anywhere Care is available at Ochsner.org/Ochsner-Anywhere-Care or by downloading the free Anywhere Care app for Android or iPhone. Virtual urgent care can treat many symptoms including cough, cold, flu, sore throat, urinary tract infection, fever, pinkeye, rash allergies, sinus problems, stomachache and more. Your virtual urgent care provider can send a referral for a Covid-19 test, if necessary.

Patients can supplement their virtual visit with an optional healthcare kit. Powered by TytoCare, the Ochsner Anywhere Care Health Kit allows patients to easily conduct a comprehensive remote examination and forward the information to the Ochsner Anywhere Care provider. Special adapters are included for examining the heart, lungs, ears, skin, mouth and throat, and to take a body temperature.
Video tutorials for using the health kit are available here.
