BATON ROUGE, La. — As neighborhoods across the country undergo transformations, local officials and planning commissioners are emphasizing the importance of vision and strategic planning in residential development.
Councilmember Chauna Banks, serving in local government and as a Planning Commissioner, underscores the meticulous process involved in creating new residential areas. "From selecting the right property to designing housing that meets the needs of prospective residents, it requires a careful balance of logic and understanding of market demands," Banks states.
With a focus on promoting housing initiatives in north Baton Rouge, Banks announces a collaborative effort with the Scotlandville Area Foundation (SAF) to host its inaugural housing conference from May 1-3, 2024.
The SAF housing summit aims to provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of current and future housing trends. Through engaging panel discussions, participants, including individuals and professionals, will explore the often overlooked attributes of disenfranchised communities and discuss solutions to existing barriers.
"By bringing together stakeholders from various sectors, we aim to foster dialogue and collaboration to address the housing needs of our community," says Banks.
The conference registration is now open, encouraging individuals and professionals alike to participate in this transformative event.
