Baton Rouge, La. — Southern University, a historic institution in Louisiana, is set to commemorate its 144th anniversary throughout the month of March with a series of events and celebrations.
The university's Founders' Month, themed "Honoring our Legacy — Living our Mission," will feature an array of activities aimed at recognizing academic achievements, fostering community engagement, and celebrating the university's enduring legacy.
Among the highlights is the annual Founders’ Day Convocation, scheduled for Thursday, March 7, at 10 a.m. in the F.G. Clark Activity Center. Dr. Russell J. Ledet is slated to deliver the convocation address.
